Magdalena, the translator, translated an 8000-word article I wrote for publication in a German edited collection entitled Wunderwelten: Religiöse Ekstase und Magie in der Moderne (2006). I much appreciated the speed with which Magdalena produced the translation and the editors of the book, both German academics, praised the quality of the translation.

Laura, the translator, provided interpretation at meetings within the health sector in London, for national regulatory and professional bodies, and for University colleagues. She not only had to translate English into Italian but professional and clinical language also - a challenge for anyone! She provided an outstanding service and the feedback has been very positive. I will certainly be using the interpretation service of the School of Humanities again.

The on-site Mandarin classes from the University of Hertfordshire have been extremely popular here at 3Com, growing over the past 3 years to become an established part of our development programme. As our business has expanded in China, our employees have been able to apply their knowledge to their daily activities as well as benefit personally from gaining accreditations.

Francesca (the UH work placement student) checked out our own Herts Central website and the Relate Central Organisation (UK) website from which she familiarised herself with the strict limitations and guidelines as to Relate's corporate image, how the Relate logo should be shown, typefaces, colours etc. She then designed a whole suite of marketing materials, posters of different sizes, flyers and three-fold leaflets for all the counselling services we offer. I found Francesca delightful to work with - happy, pleasant, polite and enthusiastic about our work.
