Why Counselling?
Counselling is a personally and professionally rewarding career choice. Counselling qualifications enhance your skills to work constructively with people who need time, space and skilled help to explore and overcome difficulties or issues they may be having. This will enable them to open up greater possibilities of living and relating with others.
You may begin with the Introduction to Counselling course.
Choose to train as a professional counsellor via our four and a half year Counselling training. This consists of the Certificate of Higher Education in Counselling & the MA/Postgraduate Diploma in Contemporary Therapeutic Counselling, (PgD part accredited by the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy).
In addition to working as a professional counsellor, you may choose to put your skills to use in some of the following areas including:

- youth work
- voluntary organisations
- telephone help-lines
- nursing
- medicine
- occupational therapy
- social work
- advice work
- education and teaching
- community work
- pastoral work
