The School of Life and Medical Sciences offer a range of business support and consultancy services in the following areas.
Urbanism and Transport
The University of Hertfordshire Urbanism Unit was established in late 2018 under the directorship of Dr Susan Parham. The unit is the University’s home for planning and urbanism research.
The Smart Mobility Unit was launched in March 2018. The unit builds on projects run at the University such as: Evalu8 (which delivered the Government’s electric vehicle Plugged-in-Places scheme in the East of England), smart bus ticketing and the E-Car Club (the UK’s first entirely electric pay-per-use car club).
Bioscience
Our services include Biodet, our biosciences consulting team specialises in water testing, indoor air quality and building hygiene investigations, outdoor air quality and Legionella training for facilities managers.
The Science Training Centre team of experts are able to run intensive training in biosciences laboratory techniques and run update courses for professionals in the form of short courses and or bespoke in-house training.
