Biodet
Our University has a long-established laboratory that offers microbiological analysis and investigations for clients across the UK. Supported by the qualified Biodet team for since 1978 and based at the University's laboratories that have held UKAS accreditation for microbiological water testing since 1997, it enjoys valuable working relationships with several Hertfordshire-based international pharmaceutical industries.

Legionella training for facilities managers
Our L8 training course is developed by Biodet specifically for facilities managers and covers issues concerning the control of Legionnaires' disease and legionella. The course runs frequently at the University of Hertfordshire in Hatfield or can be delivered at your own premises.
Call out environmental test inspections to risk areas
We make sure that we offer a unique service to meet your business requirements that is why we are able to come out to your organisation to conduct regular or specific test inspections at your premises. We can arrange to visit you at a time that is convenient for your organisation and we are flexible so that we can ensure that you and your employees have a minimum disruption to your activities.
Our laboratories at the University are open 9.00 – 17.00, Monday to Friday but we can receive samples outside these hours and at weekends by prior arrangement.
