Free legal research service
Law students at the University of Hertfordshire conduct legal research projects for a range clients.
Our students have presented varied legal research to a range of organisations, for example:
- A homeless charity on benefit law
- A local school on ASBOs and democracy
- A local college on alternative dispute resolution systems
- A group of school students on cyber-bullying
These are just examples of the sessions we could offer. Other areas of law are available on request.

Students taking part in Streetlaw
Streetlaw allows you to improve your research and presentation skills, while working together with your peers under the supervision of qualified and experienced lawyers.
You will have the opportunity to conduct research into an area of law and then present your findings in the form of legal information to local community groups.
Our Streetlaw Project runs alongside the Law Clinic. During the past three years over 250 students have taken advantage of the Streetlaw opportunities.
A 'zero-credited module' will be awarded to you when you take part in Streetlaw. This means that your participation will be recorded on your final transcript.
