Mediation Centre
The first of it's kind in the country
The Mediation Centre at the University of Hertfordshire has established a 'teaching hospital' model resource facility for dispute resolution – just as the best hospitals teach more than just surgery, dispute resolution is about far more than just litigation.
Delivering top quality professional training by accredited practitioners for students, individuals, business, academics, the legal and other professions, judiciary, advice sectors and others, the Centre's activities ensure comprehensive state of the art professional and academic teaching, research and services at the very leading edge of dispute resolution.
The course
The course is designed as a practical fully-accredited modular professional course. It prepares successful participants to practice as Mediators in a wide range of dispute areas including civil and commercial cases.
The core skills can be further extended at advanced and specialist levels by way of other stand-alone short courses in further areas including Workplace, Community, International, Small Claims, Telephone Mediation, Mediation Advocacy and others.
