Street Law
Target Audience: Year 9 – Year 13
Law students at the University of Hertfordshire conduct legal research and deliver a presentation to students in school or college. The topic and format of the presentation will be tailored to suit your needs. The project can take the form of a simple presentation, or can encompass quizzes, debates and interactive activities.

Debating
Target Audience: Year 9 – Year 13
Debating is a life skill that can develop a person’s ability to speak publicly, as well as boost their self-confidence. Law students at the University of Hertfordshire are offering presentations and workshops to introduce school or college students to the art of debating. These sessions can be delivered on campus or at your school or college. Pupils will have the opportunity develop their skills while taking part in a live debating session.
The topics for the debate range from the serious, to the light hearted. School requests for a specific topic will be considered.

Presentation: Studying Law at university
Target Audience: Year 12 – Year 13
This presentation is designed for students interested in studying law at university level. It explores the benefits of a law degree, the differences between qualifying and non-qualifying law degrees, career options and other useful hints and tips.
Presentation: Writing a winning personal statement
Target Audience: Year 12 – Year 13
Aimed at those currently applying to study law, this presentation helps students to understand the importance of the personal statement in the UCAS application process. It explains how to plan, structure and write the personal statement, as well as showing students how to showcase a passion for their chosen subject.
