If you want to explore more than one subject area within your degree course at the University of Hertfordshire, we offer an exciting range of minor subjects which you can bring into your studies to create a more tailored combined or joint honours pathway.

If you choose to follow our humanities programme, you will choose one of our minor subjects to study alongside your major subject - whether that's English Language and Communication, English Literature, History or Philosophy.

This will give you a degree title like, for example, BA History and American Studies.

Mass Communications

If you choose our Mass Communications programme, you will combine up to four subjects in your first year: 

• English Language and Communication
• Film
• Journalism
• Media Cultures
  
• or New Media Publishing

You will have the option to specialise later.

This will give you the degree title of BA Mass Communications.
