With campuses in St Albans and Welwyn Garden City, and a further training provision in Borehamwood, Oaklands College is one of the largest further education colleges in the country.

Routes to higher education
If you want to build on existing qualifications, or your experience at work, the College offers many different routes to a Higher National Certificate or Diploma.
There are particular specialisms in Engineering (Mechanical) and Civil Engineering Studies, in Sport and Exercise Science plus Music at HNC/HND level.
If you haven’t got the grades you need to go straight to university, Oaklands offers Extended degrees in engineering. Once you successfully complete this initial year, you'll be able to move on to complete your honours degree at the University of Hertfordshire.
Also, if you’re returning to study and don’t have the formal entry qualifications, the College offers Access courses in humanities and social science, and the health professions.
