Aeroplane

The University of Hertfordshire has long-established links with the aerospace industry. These stem from our links with the de Havilland Aircraft Company and the first ever passenger jet aircraft, the Comet.

We offer over 60 years experience of teaching aerospace engineering.

The School offers excellent facilities which include:·

  • a flight simulator
  • state-of-the-art software for CFD and FEA
  • mathematical modelling
  • systems simulation

The Aerospace Engineering MSc course combines analysis and design with management skills to produce highly-employable postgraduates.

It is also accredited by the Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS) and the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) as meeting the academic requirements for Chartered Engineer status.
