Optical Networks

Our research lab is equipped for research and consultancy projects in, Waveforms design for next generation converged optical/wireless networks, FPGA implementation of next generation transceivers, Radio over Fibre (RoF) for mm-wave, 5G link simulation and experimental evaluation, Virtual Photonic Simulation and experimental evaluation of 40G PONs, OPNET modelling of protocols and algorithms for next generation optical networks, System level simulation for interference mitigation in 5G RANs and Software-Defined Networking (SDN) application.

  • 12.5Gbps BERT + 6GHz-Multi-channel arbitrary waveform generator/analyser+ AWG that can generate 250MHz bandwidth.
  • 70km RoF testbed for the transmission of LTE and arbitrary waveform signals
