Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) Secondary
The PGCE Secondary course is a one year, full time Initial Teacher Education (ITE) qualification leading to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). All student teachers undertaking the PGCE will work towards achieving 60 masters level credits.
The PGCE is offered in the following subjects:
- art and design
- business studies
- computing
- English
- geography
- history
- mathematics
- modern foreign languages: these include French, French and German, French and Spanish, Spanish
- physical education
- sciences: these include biology, chemistry and physics.
