The School of Education offers a range of University of Hertfordshire based programmes.
Primary
- Bachelor of Education (BEd) - Undergraduate, 3 year, full-time course.
- Postgraduate Certificate in Education (Lower) (PGCE) - 1 year, full-time course.
- Postgraduate Certificate in Education (Upper) (PGCE) - 1 year, full time course.
Secondary
Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
1 year full-time courses in Art and Design, Business Education, English, Mathematics, Modern Foreign Languages and Science.

Modern Foreign Languages - Applicants could apply to train to teach any of the following:
- French
- French with Spanish
- French with German
- German with French
- Science - Applicants who are interested in joining our course need to apply to one of the following areas:
Applicants for whom French is their native language can apply with any honours degree.
Science applicants will be expected to teach the above 3 science areas in secondary schools. Applicants with a Biology degree will not be considered for interview unless they have A level Physics or Chemistry.
