Innovative courses

We have a wide range of music courses. Students have come to us as undergraduates, and left as Doctors in Music.

Be a mover and shaker in a billion pound global industry

Our Music and Entertainment Industry Management BA degree is the UK's first, and premiere programme.

Leaders from the music-industry walk through our doors and work with our students.

This is what the BBC said about us in their Music Magazine:

Among the most exciting initiatives is a new course in music and entertainment management at the University of Hertfordshire, which is taking an ambitious new approach to training music managers of the future.

Jam Jar

Jam Jar is our live gigging event, where our students perform to audiences of over 500. It’s run for the students by the students.

Our students perform and run sound projection/live video feeds, and control marketing, promotion and front-of-house. You could join them in hosting these exciting events.

Work placement

You can work in the music industry during your course. With us you can take a 6-8 week placement in industry, or a full year out between years 2 and 3.
