For business - Herts Propeller

Herts Propeller is a unique design agency based within the School of Creative Arts at The University of Hertfordshire. Its function is to undertake commercially-facing work, drawing on the combined talents of students, graduates and staff.

For students, it provides an ideal opportunity to work with real businesses on real-time projects whilst studying, leading to an impressive portfolio of work and contacts upon graduation. For businesses, Herts Propeller offers a huge range of talent across multiple disciplines, which gives us the flexibility to take on cutting edge, unusual or large scale projects that cross boundaries and push innovation .

Each project is handled in a different way, depending on the requirements of the client. From branding to architecture/interior architecture and design, film production and interactive experiences, Herts Propeller draws on the experience and expert knowledge housed within the School to create inspirational, innovative, professional design solutions that help businesses stand out in competitive market places.

Work with our staff

All staff working in the School are experts within their fields and have a multi and trans-disciplinary approach, which encourages collaboration and innovation. Herts Propeller draws on this rich pool of talent to meet each client’s specific needs. With access to the University’s state-of-the-art facilities, we assemble unique, highly talented teams that form the core of each project.

The diverse research interests of the teams create an environment which encourages and celebrates cutting-edge responses, while their background in commerce and enterprise means we understand how to deliver projects on time and on budget, which meet and exceed the client’s vision.

Work with our students and graduates

Courses within the School of Creative Arts have a rich history of producing students of the highest-calibre, who go on to work with some of the most recognisable creative companies in the world.

With consistent success in every major international student award scheme, they supply enthusiasm, originality and unconventional thinking, backed up with cutting edge skills and a professional attitude. Clients can work with our students in a variety of ways, from briefing an entire class with a specific project (generating multiple creative responses), conducting focus groups, to employing individuals on a freelance basis.
