Accounting and finance
The Accounting and Finance group includes more than twenty-three academics whose teaching and research interests include:
- financial markets, financial statistics, financial management
- auditing, corporate governance, financial reporting and management accounting.
We have strong links with local professional accounting bodies and many of its members participate in the Chartered Professional body committees.
We provide academic input to both undergraduate and postgraduate taught courses with a growing number of doctorate students.

Exemptions from Professional Qualifications
The recently re-evaluated Accounting and Finance degree has been awarded the eight subject exemption (from a maximum of nine) by the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
