Placements
Stand out from the crowd
In an increasingly challenging market, undergraduates need to do what they can to add value to their CVs, helping them to stand out to potential employers. An excellent way to do this is by making the most of your University experience and doing a work placement.
Who can take a placement?

Most of our programmes allow you the opportunity to undertake a 12-month work placement during your third year, leading to a sandwich degree. On some programmes the placement year is compulsory.
Who could I be working for?
You have the opportunity to work for a wide variety of companies, industries and locations both nationally and internationally. And if you take a placement in Europe, you may even qualify for an Erasmus Grant in addition to your salary. We currently have students working in a broad range of organisations including Disney Corporation, IBM, Xerox, TUI, Microsoft and General Motors.
How do I apply?
If you're keen to find out more, please feel free to drop into our Placements Office on the ground floor of de Havilland campus in M018.
