Student Ambassador Programme
We recruit our Student Ambassadors from the University of Hertfordshire's student population. Each year, we have approximately 200 students representing all subject areas.
The programme is run by the UK Recruitment team: we recruit undergraduate and postgraduate students to work as Student Ambassadors on internal and external events.
The main roles of our Student Ambassadors are:
- To work with the UK Recruitment team and other departments at on-campus and off-campus activities.
- To be a positive student role-model encouraging young people to consider university as a viable and attractive option.
- To offer support to all the young people and fellow staff members involved in the activities, in a safe and friendly manner.
Student Ambassadors are a very valuable resource and contribute an important part to University events. They are there to help support the running of the event and can take on a variety of roles such as:
- Meet and greet
- Campus tours
- Student life talks
- Administrative roles
The students selected to take part in the programme have all completed a thorough recruitment process and DBS check. They have been successfully selected because they have a variety of skills.
