About us
The University first started offering courses in Applied Biology, Biology and Chemistry as Hatfield College of Technology in the late 1960s. Since then, our commitment to the sciences has continued.
Today the School has a range of fantastic facilities, including the Clinical Simulation Centre, and a range of professional accreditations.
We have also opened our own campus pharmacy, run by staff from the department and continue to have a strong focus on applied and practise-based research, which includes three key research centres:
- Topical Drug Delivery and Toxicology (TDDT)
- Centre for Clinical Practise, Medication Safety and Drug Misuse Research (ClinSafeMed)
- Centre for Lifespan and Chronic Illness Research (CLiCIR)
