One of the largest and most innovative Law Schools in the country, the School now boasts the £10million Law Court Building on the de Havilland Campus.
About the school
The School of Law, formerly housed in St Albans, is now based on the de Havilland Campus. The new Law Court Building includes a replica of a Crown Court room and Mediation Centre, which is also used for professional training.
The teaching of law at the University first began in the 1960s, initially designed to provide a service for Engineering, Social Sciences and Business students, in the late 1960s one of the University’s longest running societies was created - the Student Law Society.
Today, the School is involved in leading legal research and a series of high-calibre public law lectures.
