School of Education Alumni
Based on the de Havilland Campus, the School of Education is committed to developing excellence and confidence in teaching, learning and professional practice.
About the school
Education teaching started at Hatfield Polytechnic following its merger with the Hertfordshire College of Higher Education in 1987.
From then until 2003, Education students studied on the Wall Hall site, alongside Humanities students.
Today, the School has over 70 members of staff involved in teaching around 2,000 students.
It is heavily involved in research and developing links within the local and international communities, and has also set up a Centre for Coaching and Mentoring.
