A day to remember
Hundreds of former graduates came along to celebrate the University's Diamond Jubilee year and receive an ‘Associateship of the University of Hertfordshire’ award and certificate, on 8 September 2012.
Looking back, moving forward
The award recognised the role that alumni who graduated before 1992 had played in the University’s history and development. These graduates, from the University’s predecessor colleges, which included Hatfield Technical College and Hatfield Polytechnic, enjoyed receiving their honorary titles in a beautiful marquee on the College Lane campus.
After being officially awarded with the title of ‘Associate’, they were invited to celebrate with their families and former classmates with tours, an exhibition, good food and plenty of reminiscing.
