Success Of First Hertfordshire Business School Alumni Conference
Staff, students and alumni network at first School alumni conference
Over 120 alumni, staff, students and friends of the Business School attended the first ever Hertfordshire Business School Alumni Conference on 23 November 2012.
There could be no better start than the highly engaging address from 1979 alumnus Vance Kearney, now VP for Human Resource at Oracle Corporation.
Speaking about unearthing talent in competitive environments, Vance kept everyone’s attention with his amusing and challenging style.
Only an excellent lunch separated Vance’s address from breakout sessions led by the 3 departments in the Business School and hard questions were asked about change in a changing world, competition through innovation and the employability skills of our graduates. These sessions were led mainly by alumni from industry.
Following a very reflective question and answer session with Business School Professors and alumni in a panel of 5, the conference concluded with a reunion and an upbeat Spanish band in the background. It was a great day for all involved.
