Alumnus Will Terran breaks into the UK film industry
'The Reality Meter' entered as contender at festival
Everyone knows that trying to break into the film industry is notoriously difficult, involving copious amounts of blood, sweat and tears. However, one alumnus is starting to reap the rewards of being an up-and-coming name in the UK film industry.
In 2003, Will’ Terran, BA (Hons) Humanities 2003, set up his independent film company Black Barn Productions, which has since produced a number of acclaimed short and feature length films. Most recently he entered short film ‘The Reality Meter’ into the Saltburn Shorts Festival. It was screened on Sunday 26th August, having already received an award of excellence from the Best Shorts Competition.
In addition to this, feature film ‘id-iology’ was recently named as the Accolade competition winner. Not content with breaking into film, Will’ has also published two volumes of short stories.
