Alumnus kick-starts his cocktail career

10 June 2013

Bradley Cartwright

Former barman moves from graduate to entrepreneur after an inspirational student experience

Having studied Biology and Psychology, Bradley Cartwright’s career took an unexpected turn when he launched his own business running mobile cocktail bars.

The 22 year-old graduate became inspired while working at The Forum. The conversations with students and creating drinks kept his passion for bar-work fuelled, and led him to start his business, ‘In the mix bars’ in March 2012 last year.

Brad said: 'While working at The Forum, I really enjoyed talking to people and I thought it was like being on a night out and not drinking. I never thought of running my own business, especially straight after finishing my degree.'

Despite missing out on the annual Flare competition for entrepreneurs, Brad is now investigating Crowd Share as a source of investment, to help grow his company. To find out more, take a look at his 'In the mix bars' website.
