Alumna Alyssa Smith wins Real-Life Entrepreneur award
University of Hertfordshire alum scoops top accolade

University of Hertfordshire alumna, Alyssa Smith has won the ‘Real-Life Entrepreneur’ category of the FSB’s Hertfordshire Small Business Awards 2012.
When Alyssa found out that she had received this further award, she was ecstatic saying, “It is fantastic for my business to be recognised by an organisation such as the FSB, and I am absolutely delighted to win this award at the age of 25”.
Alyssa, who was awarded a BA(Hons) Applied Arts and Marketing in 2008, has already seen tremendous success for her handmade jewellery business Alyssa Smith Jewellery Limited (www.alyssasmith.co.uk).
Since creating her bespoke jewellery business, she has been shortlisted and won various awards, with the latest being her nominations for Best New Business and Young Business Person of the Year. She is also the new resident entrepreneur at the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy at North Herts College in Hertfordshire.
