British Olympic Association (BOA) selects eighteen players for team
Last week the British Olympic Association (BOA) announced the eighteen players who will play in the first Team GB women's football team at the London 2012 Olympic Games. The team features alumna Kim Little (BSc(Hons) Sports Studies, 2011) as well as six other team-mates who all train at the Hertfordshire Sports Village: Stephanie Houghton, Dunia Susi, Alex Scott, Kelly Smith, Ellen White and Rachel Yankey.
All seven players have been taking advantage of the expertise and facilities available to them at the Hertfordshire Sports Village, as well as accessing strength and conditioning services from Performance Hertfordshire. They will play their first match two days before the London 2012 Opening Ceremony on the 25 July against New Zealand.
