Mentor training courses for school staff

School staff can have the opportunity to obtain some formal training and guidance in mentoring via the range of mentor training courses available from the University of Hertfordshire Mentoring Team.
Over the last 10 years we have been developing schemes and delivering mentoring training in schools. So we appreciate that you want it to be as easy as possible to implement a mentor scheme and then go on to achieve the numerous benefits that a school mentoring programme can bring.
We have a training course that’s suitable for you if you want to:
- set up a mentoring scheme in your school
- evaluate the efficacy of an existing school mentoring scheme
- develop coaching and mentoring skills in individual school staff
- support your pupils through learning mentor training
- develop your sixth form students skills and confidence with Peer Mentor training
Our short mentor training courses are good value, can be tailored to suit your school aims and range in time from half a day to 4 days. We’ve developed an online mentor training course for those people who prefer to study in their own time.
