Extended Project Qualification

The University of Hertfordshire offers a research skills day to help Year 12/13 students who are taking the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ).
As part of the day schools can choose a selection of activities from the following list:
- Thinking skills
- What is research
- Sources of information
- Critical thinking
- Bias
- Academic reading and note-taking
- Writing up and constructing an argument
- An afternoon session in the Learning Resource Centre when students can access electronic journals.
The University of Hertfordshire actively supports the EPQ as a qualification that helps students to develop the independent learning skills that will be required when they arrive in higher education.
