Gifted and talented students can get a taste of what it’s like to study at university as part of our outreach work with local schools.

Activities

Our exciting selection of challenging activities for gifted and talented students in Years 9 to 13 aims to broaden pupils’ knowledge and understanding. The activities also help them develop skills that will be valuable back in the classroom and in their future academic development.

We offer an exciting selection of challenging activities for gifted and talented students in Years 9 to 13.

Past events have included classes in:

  • pharmacy
  • philosophy
  • PE
  • physics
  • maths

We are a member of Excellence East, the gifted and talented partnership for East Anglia.

Extended Project Qualification

The University of Hertfordshire offers a research skills day to help Year 12/13 students who are taking the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ).

Gifted and Talented Mentoring

The University of Hertfordshire now offers e-mentoring support for gifted and talented students. Using trained and selected undergraduates we can help those students who you have identified as very able but who are still underperforming at school.
