Professor Di Martin

Professor Di Martin is responsible for the leadership and strategic direction of the University’s information services, information technology and learning resources provision. This covers:

  • data and document management – ICT infrastructure, MIS systems and computing services
  • the Learning Resources Centres
  • StudyNet
  • library collections and content services

She has taken forward pioneering developments to support staff and students with integrated 24/7 facilities and services both on campus and online.

This approach has attracted widespread interest and, as a result, she has contributed to the work of a number of national and international bodies. This includes the Joint Information Systems Committee (JISC) which aims to inspire UK colleges and universities in the innovative use of digital technologies.

Professor Martin joined the University in 1991 following an early career in teaching and learning resources management in further education.

She graduated from the University of London, subsequently gaining qualifications in information management, teaching and human resources management.
