Pro Vice-Chancellor (Student Experience)

Dr Andrew Clutterbuck
Dr Andrew Clutterbuck was appointed Pro Vice-Chancellor (Student Experience) in 2009.
His Pro Vice-Chancellor responsibilities cover:
- strategy implementation
- academic standards
- quality and enhancement
- learning and teaching
As such, he is Chair of the Student Educational Experience Committee, and is involved in several other committees that liaise and consult with students and the University’s two recognised trade unions, UCU and UNISON.
Since joining the University in 1990, Dr Clutterbuck has held various posts, including Principal Lecturer in Religious Studies and Head of the School of Humanities.
Andrew studied for a BEd (Hons) degree at Homerton College, Cambridge, before teaching religious education at a secondary school level in Hertfordshire.
He subsequently gained an MSc in Knowledge-Based Systems and Artificial Intelligence, and completed a PhD that combined his interests in religion and knowledge representation.
