Water

As part of its Environmental Management system the University sets annual targets to reduce water consumption. It recognises the importance of water efficiency and as such aspires to include rainwater harvesting in all new developments of an appropriate size; there are currently systems present in The Forum and Law Court Building. In addition to these larger efficiency features, water efficient products, such as sensor taps, waterless urinals and dual-flush toilets, are also specified in all developments.

In order to improve performance the University has a monitoring system in place to assess usage on a site by site basis and this is continuously monitored and abnormalities in usage are investigated and rectified as soon as possible.
