Summary of recent work undertaken

We are part of our local community and contribute to it significantly in many ways, from the staff and students we recruit, to the infrastructure and transport choices available.

The Centre for Sustainable Communities provides a service to the local community from within the University. It looks to promote sustainable communities through new and innovative methods of planning, transport and environmental management.

We support and work with local groups such as the Welwyn Hatfield Task and Finish Group and the Hertfordshire Sustainability Forum. We also hold open days and events so that the local community can visit the University to see what we are working on and gain information about how we are contributing the environmental improvement of the local area.
