The University’s Marketing and Communications department has been shortlisted five times for four awards, as the nominations for the 2014 Heist Awards is unveiled.

The Heist Awards recognise excellent practice in higher education marketing and this year there was a record number of entries.

Nominated for four awards

The 2013 Roadshow is shortlisted for the 'Best Student Recruitment Campaign' and 'Best use of Innovation and Creative Thinking'. The #HertsIsTheOne project is also nominated for the 'Best use of Innovation and Creative Thinking' award as well as the 'Best use of Digital and Social Media'. These projects were led by Ed Layt, Marketing Manager.

Best Alumni Campaign

An exciting nomination is the 'Best Alumni Campaign' as the University's Alumni Insight Network, which supports student and graduate employability, only has one other competitor with the chance to win the title. The network is led by Steve Corbett, Head of Alumni.

Team's hard work and dedication

Julie Newlan, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Enterprise) and Director of Marketing and Communications at the University, says: "This is fantastic news for the department and the University. Being shortlisted for a number of Heist Awards is testament to the team's hard work and dedication over the past year."

The winners will be revealed in early July.
