Dr Brendan Larvor wins Santander UK Collaboration Grant

UH receives funding for two awards of £5,000 each from Santander UK to initiate, develop and undertake research that will enhance the University’s profile.

Dr Brendan Larvor of the School of Humanities and SSAHRI has emerged as one of this year’s winners after submitting a highly rated bid to develop international collaboration in the field of Philosophy of Mathematical Practice.

In the course of this project, Brendan will collaborate with researchers at the Universities of Amsterdam, Hamburg, Konstanz and McGill over 3-4 years.

Brendan will also lead a project on behalf of the International Mathematics Union on cultural aspects of the training of research mathematicians.
