Students Showcase Their Creative Talent at Film Premiere
The premier screening of a local short film, that depicts a scandalous tale of infidelity, conspiracy and murder, will take place next week at the Museum of St Albans - a collaboration between artist Sarah Baker and the University of Hertfordshire.

The hour-long film, Impirioso, was produced in conjunction with staff and students from the School of Creative Arts and commissioned by the University of Hertfordshire Galleries. Shot at various well-known locations, including Hatfield House, the film features Hollywood actress Olivia d’Abo.Demonstrating Talent
Matthew Shaul, Head of Programming and Operations at UHArts, says: “This production highlights how media-savvy, capable and motivated our students are. It also demonstrates the spectacular resources and combination of adaptable talents we have here at the University.”“Students have been given a fantastic opportunity to make a real film which will exist in the real world. This is a project which is academically rich and theoretically robust, as well as having a currency with the general audience. We are also supporting our colleagues in St Albans museums by providing quality public arts programming.”
The artist’s most ambitious project to date is inspired by a news article about a real woman currently in prison for killing her husband. The dramatisation focuses on the sordid life of Luccia Rosso, a luxury-obsessed social climber who marries the heir of fashion empire Impirio Rosso in a scandalous tale of love, obsession, betrayal and murder.
