Blended Learning Unit (CETL)
The Blended Learning Unit (BLU) was established in 2005, as a 5 year project funded by HEFCE, and is a Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL). For more information about CETLs please see the HEFCE website. Recently, the BLU has been incorporated within the University's Learning and Teaching Institute (LTI) with the aim to sustain and extend the excellent reputation and good practices established by BLU beyond the life of the 5 year project.
We develop, promote and evaluate the combination of established ways of Learning and Teaching and the opportunities offered by technology in order to improve students’ learning and increase flexibility in how, when and where they study. View a summary of what we offer with further details of our goals and plans detailed in the original CETL bid documentation.
StudyNet, our managed learning environment, is a core part of our blended learning provision at the University of Hertfordshire. See more about what StudyNet provides for our students.
