HEA Pathfinder Pilot Project - CABLE

The University of Hertfordshire was one of the first nine universities to take part in the national Higher Education Academy sponsoredPathfinder initiative.

Now into its third year, twelve teams from eleven different academic Schools have already been through the CABLE process, working in partnership with the Blended Learning Unit to review and develop blended learning provision.

The CABLE project (The Change Academy for Blended Learning Enhancement) draws on the change models and resources of the HEA Change Academy to construct a local model of change within Schools. The project has been a great success, resulting in more widespread development of blended learning within, and between, Schools and Faculties.

This year CABLE 3.0 involves teams from the following Schools:

  • Education
  • Health & Emergency Professions
  • Life Sciences
  • Nursing and Midwifery
  • Interdisciplinary Studies

The project is directed by the CABLE steering group with Irene Anderson as Co-ordinator.
