Howard Noble

Howard Noble leads requirements gathering initiatives for the computing services department at the University of Oxford.
This involves using a variety of techniques (interviews, surveys, prototyping etc) to find out how to better support research, teaching and learning.

Katherine O'Brien

Katherine O’Brien has worked at the University for two years and is based within the Environment Team in the Centre for Sustainable Communities.
She works with colleagues across the University to raise awareness of environmental issues and to reduce the University’s environmental impact in terms of issues such as energy, waste and procurement.

Steve has over 16 years of operational systems management experience, specifically managing data centres since 1996.

Pete Sands

Pete is Future-Tech’s Lead Data Centre Design Consultant and has extensive experience working with both public and private sector clients.
Having been involved with the data centre industry for over 10 years Pete has a wealth of practical knowledge that can be applied to each project he works on.

Starting his career as an engineer means Pete has a technical understanding of each phase of a Data Centre’s installation and how these phases interlink.

His technical experience allows him to see potential problems before they happen and in turn design them out before they occur. From feasibility, through design and installation, to practical completion Pete's years of experience give him an insight that is second to none.

Richard Smeeton

A first class honours graduate with wide experience of globally deploying and managing IT solutions and projects.

Specialisations include: Design, development and operation of converged voice and data networks, data centres, high availability systems infrastructure, server and storage architectures and information security.

Professor Andrew Starr

Professor Andrew Starr is the Director of the Centre for Sustainable Communities at the University of Hertfordshire, a new postgraduate centre of excellence in planning and development, transport policy and energy. The centre is a partnership, with many collaborators in the public and private sectors.
