MBA Masterclass - ‘Trust me’: Is it really that simple?
Fundamental business issues; innovative new ideas. Come and join us for this exciting talk.
Trust, or lack of it, is inherent in every action we take and affects everything we do. Trust is the cement that binds relationships, keeps spouses together, business deals intact and political systems stable. Without trust, marriages fail, organisations flounder and voters become apathetic. Without trust, no enterprise can hope for excellence.
In a world where time is a precious resource, where we must often act without having time to explore all our options, we use shortcuts to circumvent the process. For this reason, the history or track record of an individual or organisation is frequently evaluated to gauge how we may be treated in a relationship with them.
Through unique insights and real life client case studies, Peter will challenge your assumptions while sharing his knowledge and understanding of what trust means in all aspects of our lives.
About the speaker: Peter Buckley
Through front-line operational leadership in the military services Peter learned a lot about the theory and practice of achieving team and organisational goals, identifying the vital catalyst for success as being that of trust.
Entering civilian life, Peter joined the NHS as Operations Manager and Director in acute hospitals, where he again observed the importance of trust. Without trust, little can be achieved, be it positive outcomes of care or the effective team work that underpins complex pathways of treatment.
Drawing on three decades of experience and a successful consultancy business, Peter launched a new venture in 2015, Entrusted Consulting Ltd, focused on the importance of trust in organisations. From financial services to elite education, Entrusted have empowered organisations to deliver enhanced and effective performance KPIs and the critically sustainable cultural alignment of all participants towards ‘doing the right thing’.
