The Lovesong of Alfred J. Hitchcock

The Lovesong of Alfred J. Hitchcock

Adapted from David Rudkin’s award-winning radio play, this new work takes an unprecedented journey into the mind of one our most fascinating cultural icons, Alfred Hitchcock.

The play explores Hitchcock's childhood memories of his mother, his strict schooling and the pranks he played as a boy. In his later life we see how he developed the ideas for his most famous films, including Marnie, Vertigo and Strangers On A Train, and the feelings of guilt towards his faithful wife.

The result is a unique and haunting character study, presented with all the tension and mystery of Hitchcock's greatest films.
