SME 'HELP' programme

'Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs) are vital for productivity, innovation and employment growth. Removing the barriers faced by growth oriented SMEs will be crucial for the economic recovery' The Work Foundation March 2013.

Hertfordshire Enterprise Leadership Programme (HELP) is an intensive leadership, management and business programme, specifically designed for owner-managers, directors and senior managers of small to medium sized businesses that are actively growing and who need HELP in removing growth barriers. 

Specially designed to support the challenges of a SME business, the programme will build an essential HELP toolkit to improve productivity, increase profitability and build sustainable growth.

Through ten monthly 'twilight' sessions (17.00 - 20.00), you will be given the space to critically think about you, your business, your leadership style and its impact, and to discuss contemporary and relevant business topics, themes and issues with other SME partners, such as:

• Creating Market Leadership in High Growth Markets
• Sustainability Leadership
• Access to Funding
• Small Brand Leadership
• Leading Financial Change
• Growth through e-business
• Managing people for growth
• Action Learning Visits

You will join a supportive leadership environment, with a dedicated programme leader and a team of industry experts and practitioners, who will lead you through a mix of theory, practice, analysis, reflection, action learning, buddy support and peer-to-peer networking, with access to university resources and facilities.

Starts: 3 October - 12 places available

Fees: £2,500* 

Either: HELP will be eligible for University of Hertfordshire Innovation funding support*, up to £2000 per business.

Or: HELP may be eligible for GrowthAccelerator leadership funding up to £2000 per senior manager (for business assessed as eligible and suitable for GrowthAccelerator).
