Which ceremony can I attend?
Eligible students may attend one of the forthcoming ceremonies.

I have a debt owing to the University - can I still attend?
All debt (including library fees) must be cleared by the deadline dates listed on the right. Call the University’s Finance Department on 01707 284800 to discuss the matter further.
Registering for a ceremony
Can I just turn up at my ceremony without registering first?
No. It is compulsory for students to register their attendance before the deadline dates published.
What if I haven’t registered my attendance?
Students cannot attend ceremonies if they have not registered before the deadline. You may request your certificate if you are not attending a ceremony.
Do I need a receipt or confirmation of my registration?
Once you have registered your attendance a confirmation email will be sent to the email address you provided as part of the registration process.
I/my guest needs a letter to support a visa application - can you help?
We can provide you with a letter to support your visa application. We are not able to provide your guests with a personalised letter to support their visa application for travel as we are unable to verify who they will be. You may wish to provide them with a copy of your letter as supporting documentation for their application for a travel visa.
I/my guest has a disability - do you need to know?
We can make arrangements to accommodate most requests as long as we know in advance. Please provide brief details as part of the registration process and we will contact you to discuss your needs further. It is not possible to make arrangements on the day of your ceremony.
I now can’t attend - can I have a refund?
Refunds can be given up to twenty-one working days before the ceremonies commence. Email us at exams@herts.ac.uk to discuss the matter further.

Ordering robes and photos
Where do I order robes?
You can pre-order robes. You must register your attendance before ordering your robes. We highly recommend you pre-order your robes to save you time on the day. Hiring robes does not indicate your intention to attend a ceremony.
Can I pre-order photos?
You can pre-order studio photographs. Save yourself time on the day by pre-booking your photos.

Changing my name?
Can I change my name?
The name you are registered with at the University is what appears on your certificate. If you wish to alter this you must do so before your Board of Examiners has met to agree your qualification. If you would like your name to be read out at the ceremonies differently please let us know no later than 4 weeks prior to the ceremonies.
After the ceremony
If I miss my ceremony, can I attend another one?
There is no opportunity to attend another ceremony if you have missed the one to which you were eligible. You may request your certificate.
When can I watch the web broadcast of my ceremony?
Approximately 2 hours after each ceremony, the web broadcast will be available on the awards ceremonies website and available for download shortly thereafter.
