College Lane Campus

The new student accommodation is an exciting 3 year project on the College Lane campus which will transform the living space and surroundings currently available to students at the University of Hertfordshire.
The University's vision is to create fully inclusive living and learning environment which will significantly enhance the students' lives while at University.
The new accommodation will provide:
- 2,500 new bedrooms
- 500 refurbished bedrooms in Telford Court
- 2 new sports pitches
- campus gym
- common rooms with informal learning and social spaces
- a central hub with security and student services
There will be a variety of living arrangements to suit a range of budgets and needs.
The accommodation is generally arranged as either flats or town houses, with a small number of single occupancy studio rooms.
The rooms are predominantly en-suite and 100 of the rooms have been designed as conference rooms to meet the demand during vacations for hotel standard accommodation.
Kicking off in spring 2013, phase one will be ready by September 2014, with phases two and three completed in September 2015 and 2016. Not only will the new facilities provide a fantastic environment for our students, they will also lead the way in sustainability, achieving a true carbon-zero accreditation and meeting BREEAM Outstanding requirements.
