Over 450 artworks are held in the University of Hertfordshire’s Art Collection.
The ethos of the UH Art Collection is to present modern and contemporary art in places where people study, work and visit.
This reflects our determination to provide an attractive education setting which informs, enlightens and enhances the life of its students, staff and the local community.

What’s in it
The UH Art Collection has a diverse portfolio ranging from:

Where to see it
Approximately 60% of the work is showcased throughout the University’s campuses and buildings, with a large number of works placed in publicly accessible locations.
History
The UH Art Collection was established in 1952, as part of Hertfordshire County Council’s commitment to the post-war programme when the inclusion of artworks from leading British artists was included within the budget of Hatfield Technical College.
